A Plague Tale: Requiem gets October release date and 10 minutes of new gameplay

A Plague Tale: Requiem has received a new release date and gameplay trailer.

Asobo Studio, a sequel to A Plague Tale: Innocence, will be released on October 18, 2022, for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC and Switch in the form of a cloud version.

A new extended gameplay sequence, which follows protagonists Amicia and Hugo as they make their way through a quarry, can be viewed below.

A collector’s edition has also been announced, which includes a resin figurine, a Hugo feather-style brooch, three lithographs and a short two-track LP from the game. This version will be available exclusively from the publisher’s Focus Entertainment online store.

A Plague Tale: Requiem was first revealed in June 2021 during Microsoft’s E3 conference.

Microsoft has also confirmed that the game will be available on Xbox Game Pass at launch, for console, PC, and the cloud.

“Following the original game’s epic ending to a heartbreaking resilience story, players will embark on the second act of an emotional journey,” Asobo’s Head of Communications, Aurélie Belzanne previously said of Requiem.

They will follow Amecia and her brother Hugo on a new and perilous mission, doing whatever it takes to survive in a brutal and uncaring world.
