Sonic Team Leader Takashi Iizuka said he’d like Frontiers to have the same lasting impact as Sonic Adventure.
in Sonic Stadium In an interview published in June 2021, the franchise’s chief creative said he hopes the upcoming game will provide the building blocks for future Sonic titles for many years to come.
“Sonic Adventure laid the foundation for 20 years of Sonic titles after its release, so in the same way I really hope this new title released in 2022 will lay the foundation for the next future Sonic titles — that’s the idea behind the challenge for the team,” Izuka said.
