The Angels were swept into a three-game streak in Houston on Sunday, and in the process they made a bit of questionable history.
The Los Angeles hitters have run 20 times against the Astros pitchers, setting the record for the most hits in a nine-game match in MLB history. The Angels are the eighth team to reach this far, and the first since the Tigers debuted on May 28, 2019.
Angel hitters swung 55 throws during the match and puffed 25 times. All 12 players featured hit the board at least once, with seven players knocking out multiple times. Second Rookie base player Michael Stefanik, who was making his MLS debut, has starred in each of his three games.

The Angels entered the game as the easiest lineup to reach, with a 25.9% strike rate during their first 80 matches. Three-time MVP Mike Trout had a particularly tough time calling over the weekend. In three games, the quarterback went to 0 for 11 with nine strokes.
Astros writer Framber Valdez did most of the work, hitting 13 hits over six innings. The Bullpen grabbed things from there, with Hector Neris, Rafael Montero and Ryan Pressly retiring all nine hitters they faced, with every one working in the inning. The trio had seven combined hits, with Presley scoring three, and Neris and Montero scoring two each.
