newly, James Bond Producer Barbara Broccoli discussed the future of franchising with Limit At an event for the British Film Corporation in central London, which suggests that the character of James Bond will undergo a “reinvention” for the next film. She said:
“Nobody’s in the running. We’re working out where we’re going, and we’re talking about it. There’s no script, and we can’t come up with a script until we decide how we’re going to approach the next movie because, really, it’s a reinvention of Bond. We’re reinventing his identity and that takes Time. I would say that filming separates us at least two years.”

Despite numerous calls to reinvent the character as a female, it seems James Bond will remain male. And now, Ana de Armas, who has a short but memorable role in No time to die As CIA agent Paloma, he discussed it in a recent interview the sun:

However, this does not mean that de Armas believes that there should not be a similar creative role for women, adding that future James Bond Movies should include bigger roles for women along with the MI6 agent traveling around the world. continued:
“Instead, in future Bond films, you would like to see stronger roles for women alongside 007 himself. What I would like is that the female roles in Bond films, even though Bond will still be a man, are brought about in a different way. They got the part Bigger and in recognition of them. That’s what I think is more interesting than flipping things over.”

The actress echoes the same ideas expressed by James Bond himself. Last year, before the release of No time to dieDaniel Craig said Radio Times He does not believe that Bond should be a woman, saying:
“The answer to that is very simple. There simply have to be better parts for women and actors of color. Why should a woman play James Bond when there should be a good James Bond role, but for a woman?”

Even Barbara Broccoli agrees, after telling Watchman that Bond is just a male character, saying:
“He’s a male character. He was written as a male and I think he’s probably going to stay male. And that’s fine. We don’t have to turn male characters into women. Let’s just make more female characters and make the story fit those female characters.”

It remains to be seen who will play the next James Bond, but fans have been inviting some well-known actors to take part in the role, from star WarsJohn Boyega to Idris Elba from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Even Dwayne Johnson threw his hat in the ring (no pun intended)!
