Change of address with men who work at Disney clothing stores

When Disney reopens Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique stores in Florida and California resorts next month, workers who help kids dress up as their favorite cartoon characters will have new, more gender-inclusive titles.

That’s because men will be working in stores for the first time.

The workers will be referred to as Fairy Godmother’s Apprentices rather than Fairy Godmothers in-Training, as they were called before stores closed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The decision to allow men to work in stores was made before the pandemic but not implemented before the lockdown.

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique stores at Walt Disney World in Florida and Disneyland in California are set to reopen at the end of August after being closed for two years, according to the Disney blog.

Shopkeepers provide hair, makeup, fashion and accessories to help children aged 3 to 12 transform into their favorite characters.
