MultiVersus open beta is now available

Warner Bros. launched Games Open Beta MultiVersus.

While the Early Access beta version was launched last week for select players, it’s now available to all users in the Americas, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

The MultiVersus open beta can be downloaded for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC, and features full cross-play support.

MultiVersus – View progress and rewards

At launch, the MultiVersus open beta includes 17 characters, nine maps, and eight modes.

Since it is a free game, players do not need a PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold membership to play MultiVersus.

The open beta will include optional in-game purchases. Any progress or purchases made during the trial period will be carried over when the game is fully released.

No end date has been set for the open beta, which will “continue to update with new characters, maps, seasonal content, and more in the coming months,” indicating that any “final” release will simply come as an update to existing software.

Earlier today Warner detailed the latest MultiVersus patch, which reduces the effectiveness of Taz’s controversial spinning movement and adds LeBron James as a playable character.

At one point during the closed beta of MultiVersus, the title reached more concurrent users than any other single-player fighting game in Steam history.
