If you’ve ever spent any amount of time at the Walt Disney World Resort, you’re sure to notice some lost or malfunctioning effects on quite a few attractions.

One of the most famous examples of this can be found in Disney’s Animal Kingdom at Expedition Everest. Originally, the giant animatronic yeti moved and sped away as the guests walked towards it, resulting in an exhilarating and terrifying experience. Unfortunately, this feature stopped working and was turned off shortly after opening the ride and hasn’t come back since, at least in its full glory.
Also, in the animal kingdom, DINOSAUR was going through a rough patch where Disney shut down one of the Carnataurus animatronics during the ride.
Another attraction with a few broken impacts is EPCOT’s Spaceship Earth. The trek serves as the park’s historic hub, taking guests on an informative and entertaining journey. Unfortunately, the ride is in rather poor condition, with many reporting that it desperately needs some attention.

We are excited to see this small but important feature returning to one of the most historic Disney landmarks ever created. Hopefully this is a sign of further improvements not just on this trip but any other attraction that needs some love and care.
