Stephen Colbert brutally mocks Eric Trump’s lame defense against FBI attack

It was “Christmas” in the hot month of August on Tuesday night when Stephen Colbert opened his house late show A monologue with a full celebration of the FBI’s raid on Mar-a-Lago. This gave the host a chance to break down his truly inspiring impression of “former first son” Eric Trump.

In response to Donald Trump’s son assuring Sean Hannity that all agents will find him is a “note from me telling him how proud I am of him and what a wonderful job he’s been doing as president,” Colbert put his upper lip over his teeth and asked the FBI, “Did you find a letter from him saying how much Is he proud of me? Keep looking… The truth is out there.”

Colbert also highlighted “one contradiction” in Eric Trump’s story. Apparently, he was “with” his father when he received a call regarding the raid, but then “called” his father to tell him about it.

Going back to his impression, imagine the scenario in which he calls Eric Donald from the same room. “Dad, I’m here!” He said. “It’s me, your son. Not the one you like, the other. I have terrible news: I’m in the room with you.”

The host also shared his reaction to Trump’s assertion that “nothing like this has ever happened to the President of the United States before,” adding, “Well, of course it hasn’t! No president has ever been as criminal as you!”

As for Trump’s question, “What’s the difference between this and Watergate,” Colbert replied, “Watergate was Dick Nixon breaking the law. That was breaking the law on Dick.”
