I remember when the halfway issues of Sandman They were readily available in discount boxes at comic book stores. While the early issues were collectible, the medium issues seemed to be overtaken by comic book stores, and had a lot of excess inventory. But, over the decades, this has clearly been shown not to happen. Which is how we find a copy of Sandman Number 36 is being auctioned off by Heritage Auctions with bids totaling $56 so far.
