Britney Spears’ touching response to her children

Britney Spears has re-emerged in the public eye for the past two years during her struggle for her freedom that she finally achieved last year. This does not mean, of course, that all is well, but things are getting better for her, and she is finally regaining her ability to choose what she wants in life.

But recently, her relationship with her children has not been going well. According to her sons, they had not seen each other for months. The boys recently talked about their relationship, and Britney responded immediately.

Today’s video

It all started with an excerpt from a documentary

Just days ago, an excerpt was published in the Daily Mail, allegedly from Daphne Barrack’s ITV News documentary, which Britney Spears’ ex-husband Kevin Federline put together. It has two children of singers, Preston and Jayden, ages 15 and 16, and Jayden talks about their complicated relationship with their mother. And while he stressed that “there is no hatred” between them, the relationship is not at its best.

“It will take a lot of time and effort (to fix the relationship)” but “I believe 100% that this can be fixed,” he said. “It’s going to take a lot of time and effort. I just want her to get better mentally. When she gets better, I really want to see her again.” Then he spoke directly to his mother, saying, “I love you so much, I wish you the best. Maybe one day we’ll sit like this and talk again.”

Britney Spears replied on Instagram

While the feelings of Britney’s sons are, of course, valid, it’s perfectly reasonable for the singer to get hurt and upset with them. Especially after everything she’s been through in the last decade. After reading the excerpt, she wrote a long, honest response, in which she explained her side of things and shared how those phrases offended her.

“I did my best to be the best person I could be… to basically be a hostage in homes under the supervision of nurses and bulls – I hope someday my kids will understand my thinking,” her Instagram post began. She continued, “My love for my children knows no bounds, and it saddens me so much to know his cries saying I didn’t live up to his expectations as a mother, and maybe one day we can meet face to face and talk about it publicly!!!” Finally, Britney said, “I understand.” Exactly your need to live with your dad where I had to play the perfect role for 15 years for absolutely nothing.”

After all Britney Spears has had to put up with, during her tenure and in the process of ending it, she will need her family at her side. Knowing that the kids also want to fix their relationship, hopefully things will get better.
