John Oliver rips in Queen Elizabeth II, King Charles III and Liz Truss

After lying down on new British Prime Minister Liz Truss, whom he referred to as “Margaret Thatcher if she’s so gluey” last week tonightJohn Oliver, the prime minister, spoke of the death of Queen Elizabeth II on Sunday night.
The British comedian, who is also a US citizen, was speaking about comments made by Prime Minister Truss about an unexpected tax on oil and gas companies in order to help offset England’s high energy bills.
When asked about the tax, Truss gave a quick answer, saying in part, “I don’t think ‘profit’ is a dirty word. The fact that it has become a dirty word in our society is a big deal.”
“What the fuck are you talking about?” shouted Oliver. “Look, I’ll just say this, and you may not like it, but it doesn’t make it any less true: the most beautiful thing the Queen of England has done to anyone is to die in the week that woman became prime minister. For for at least a week, she will not be justifiably destroyed. For answers like that.”
Then he continued: “Look, things are very bleak in the UK now. This damn man is about to get all the money” – pointing to a picture of King Charles III -” and it’s now morning TV hunger Gamesreferring to a part where the hosts were spinning a wheel to pay people’s energy bills.
But don’t worry, Britain: your future is now in the hands of the British dollar store Leslie Knope is here. Everything is going well!”
