distance in late Time of night Congratulating Oliver on winning his show’s seventh consecutive Emmy award this month for Outstanding Variety Talk Series, Oliver admitted that he hated award shows and that “it was nicer to literally see you anywhere else on Earth,” comparing the event to a “royal funeral Without a dead queen.”

With this line, they were on pause with commenting about what Oliver clearly sees as his homeland due to the supreme reaction to her king’s protracted death. as such in late Time of night “Unofficial “Royal Correspondent” last week tonight The host was quick to feign upset over what he described as “10 days of compulsory mourning” and offered “sorry for our loss” to British drummer Myers.

“When a senior member of the royal family dies, I will come here,” Oliver promised. “Just tap your heels three times and I’ll be here to give him the disrespect he deserves.”

He went on to mock the UK for canceling football matches – an “act of concrete class war” – and even apparently lowered the sound of exit whistles in grocery stores to honor the Queen. “As if someone had entered, he listened to the usual whistling and said, ‘Have some damned respect! “All we have said is that Britain is still mourning the horrific loss of a 96-year-old woman from natural causes,” he said. Scientifically, this is no joke. Which is absolutely ridiculous, because, apparently, all we’ve heard all week is that the Queen has an incredible sense of humor.”
