Iris Palmer says she is inspired by Kylie Jenner and Kris Jenner

Iris Palmer, founder of Star Lash Extensions, has opened up about how she got her start in making celebrity cosmetics. She also talked about her best friend, Kylie Jenner, and how she and her mother, Kris Jenner, have inspired her.
How Yris Palmer got her start in celebrity beauty
while broadcasting Connections with Eva Longoria, Palmer explains how she became an entrepreneur. She says she has always been interested in fashion. She was excited to get her first job as a teenager so she could buy sneakers to match her outfit.
Palmer says she “fell in” entrepreneurship. She initially wanted to be an actress, but she met people who struggled to make ends meet. Palmer didn’t want to live like this, so she decided to make acting her hobby while she was focusing on doing something else she enjoys.
Palmer thought she might have a shot at securing an acting job in London, so she started auditioning there. During one of her trips to London, she noticed that a lot of people have eyelash extensions. Palmer says she didn’t know anyone in Los Angeles who did eyelash extensions, so she decided to offer this service.
Kylie Jenner and Kris Jenner are the inspirations for Iris Palmer
Palmer draws inspiration from Kylie Jenner and Kris Jenner. She admires how hard they have worked to get to where they are today.
“Kaylee [Jenner] He is one of my best friends and I look up to him [Kris Jenner] And thought, “Wow, [her daughters] This amazing businesswoman to look up and mentor,” Palmer tells Longoria.
Palmer says she wants to be a role model for her daughter. “I want to do it for my daughter. I didn’t have it. I couldn’t go to my mom or dad – I was overthinking everything.” [My daughter] Really an advantage because I’ve already done a lot in business.”
Yris Palmer has grown her business through social media
Palmer took an eyelash extension course in London and started building her own business. She says she did a Google search on how to start a business. Palmer admits she made a lot of mistakes, but she’s glad she took the risk. She says people told her she couldn’t make that money with skin, but she quickly found out that “the beauty industry is crazy.” She was able to make a living, and proved the naysayers wrong.
“I always say you learn from experience,” Palmer said during Longoria’s podcast. “I just threw myself there.” Palmer’s business took off thanks to Instagram. “Thank God,” Palmer says, she got her first celebrity client, Christina Milian.
Milian promoted Palmer on social media. This celebrity endorsement opened the door for Palmer to acquire other high-profile clients. After Milian, Palmer had the opportunity to work with Selena Gomez and Kylie Jenner. “They’re all through social media promoting me,” Palmer says.
Palmer says her father’s dream was for her to finish college, but she decided to take another path. “I felt bad for many years,” Palmer says. “All my friends went to college, and my path was completely different. But I am so glad I followed my own path.”
