Regardless of how anyone feels about the movie itself, it’s safe to say that the drama has taken over a lot of Olivia Wilde’s films. do not worry my love. And of course, there’s also a rumor about the ongoing feud between Wilde and film lead Florence Pugh. However, with the movie finally out, everyone can now move on and focus on other projects. In the case of Pugh and Wilde, both women appear to be making their way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
Florence Pugh is set for a major return to the MCU
After making her MCU debut in the movie Black Widow And the next appearance in the holiday series hookPu is set to reprise her role as Black Widow assassin Yelena Belova once again. And this time, it’s joining the Marvel anti-hero group, known as Thunderbolts.
During the Marvel Show at San Diego Comic-Con 2022, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige explained that The thunderbolts are gathered at a time when the Avengers themselves have gone their separate ways.
“But just because the Avengers don’t have an organization doesn’t mean there isn’t a group of superheroes in the MCU,” Feige revealed.
“Maybe not a sublime group like The Avengers but there is a group called Thunderbolts. Finally Thunderbolts come across the screen, and they are a bunch of junk.”
Thunderbolts will be led by Pugh and MCU veteran Sebastian Stan. The two stars will also be joined by many other familiar Marvel faces.
Among them are several Emmy Award winners, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Wyatt Russell, Hana John Kamen, Olga Kurylenko and David Harbor who portray The Red Guardian, also known as Yelena’s father when they went undercover in the United States since a lifetime.
Who bring Black Widow “Family” is back together, Feige notes that “the crazy father-daughter relationship between the Red Guardian and Yelena…is clearly one of the best parts of the MCU.”
Olivia Wilde has a secret project with Marvel
And while Marvel was happy to reveal Pugh’s Yelena’s future in the MCU, it has remained silent regarding the project she has been working on with Wilde. To this day, no one even knows if the actress/director will also play the Marvel character or stay behind the scenes.
The project was untitled First announced in 2020 It is expected to center around a female character in the MCU. Since this is also supposed to be a project between Marvel and Sony, it is believed that the story will focus on Spider-Woman.
For now, however, fans will have to wait for any confirmed details like Wilde swore herself to secrecy. “That, I can’t say a word about it. The actress/director explained in a recent interview. I have to bury myself in the couch now.”
However, Wilde expressed how excited she was to be working with Marvel as a rising director herself.
“I will say that I think Marvel’s approach of letting new filmmakers into the fold and access to the tools of the Marvel universe is very exciting,” she said.
“I’m a big fan of what they do there.” Wilde also added, “But, yeah, I can’t confirm if that’s the case. But that would be cool.”

Will Olivia Wilde and Florence Beau’s paths intersect in the MCU?
At the moment, there isn’t enough information to determine if the two women will find themselves working on the same MCU project. Furthermore, if Wilde is venturing into the Marvel/Sony scene, there is less potential for Wilde to collaborate, at least within the MCU.
Sure enough, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man has famously joined the Avengers in the past, and his recent (wrong) adventures have included Doctor Strange Benedict Cumberbatch, along with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield of the multiverse Spider-Man.
At the moment, however, it seems that the MCU has no plans to bring its newer characters to the Spider Man Just verse.
However, fans will now know that when it comes to the MCU, anything is possible. So maybe Wilde and Buff will find themselves together on set again. Not to mention, Wilde might end up directing Styles for Marvel, too.
