Doug Pederson is hoping for a warm welcome from Eagles fans on Sunday

Jaguar Head coach Doug Pederson is looking forward to returning to Philadelphia for the first time since his dismissal in 2020. His new team will face his former team, the EaglesSunday.

The 54-year-old helped reclaim the Eagles’ first Super Bowl title in the 2017-18 season.

Now, in his first season as head coach at Jacksonville, Pederson hopes that Eagles fans will give him a standing ovation, similar to what Chiefs coach Andy Reed did when he returned to Philadelphia for the first time after leading the team from 1999 to 2012.

“I hope it is in this field [of the standing ovation Reid got]Pederson said, via Eagles today. “But look, it’s Philly, anything is possible with these fans. I’m just looking forward to getting out of that tunnel with Jaguar and getting ready to play a game.”
