LeBron James Among the NBA Stars Investing in the Pickle Ball League

A new sport has taken over the United States, to the point that many NBA stars have decided to invest in a professional venture.

LeBron JamesAnd Draymond Green and Kevin Love are among the entrepreneurs investing in Major League Pickleball. The property group also includes Maverick Carter, CEO of his entertainment brand SpringHill and James, Paul Rivera, a CMO at SpringHill, and Danielle Silman, co-owner and CEO of SC Holdings and Relevent Sports Group.

They join a star-studded royal rank that already includes names like former Super Bowl champion Drew Brees, former World No. 4 tennis star James Blake and Ryan Serrant, a star from Bravo’s New York Million Dollar List and founder and CEO of real estate brand Serhant.

What is a baseball game you may ask? Think of it as a hybrid between badminton and tennis, as it sounds, the Wiffle Ball. according to MLP Press ReleaseThe sport will expand from 12 to 16 teams, and in 2023 players will compete in six tournaments for more than $2 million.

“Having SC Holdings, LRMR Ventures and their incredible group as owners and investors in Major League Pickleball is not only fantastic for MLP, but it is a watershed moment for the game in general,” MLP founder Steve Cohn said in a statement. “Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the country, building communities in cities and towns around the world. This investment and the platform this group provides will help us greatly in achieving our goal of reaching 40 million pickleball players by 2030.”
