Start ‘Em, Sit’ Em is the best look at the best and worst matches based on the PPR scoring system in fantasy football. This column will not cover elite NFL players like Josh Allen, Jonathan Taylor or Cooper Cope. Instead, I’ll look at the players you have questions about who can exceed or fail to meet expectations at each position. For all your final fantasy squad decisions, be sure to check out my weekly player ratings which will be updated daily throughout the NFL season.

WEEK 4, START, SIT: QUARTERBACKS | Running from behind | wide receivers | narrow ends | Kickers and team defenses
Beginning of the fourth week: wide receivers
Beginning of the week
Amary Cooper On Falcons (1 p.m. ET, CBS): Cooper has been in some hot streaks, scoring 202 yards, two touchdowns and more than 48 fantasy points in his last two games. He also saw a target share of bananas of 36.2% at the time (there is no more than 6.9% on the scale of Browns wide). I was going to keep Cooper active against the Hawks, who have allowed for the sixth most points for wide receivers this season.
start ‘Em
Mike Williams In Texas (1 p.m. ET, CBS): Williams was not a reliable fantasy choice, scoring less than nine points in two of his first three games. I still love this week’s game against Texas. Before facing the bears’ not-too-of-the-ball attack, their defense had earned the fifth most fantasy points for the wide-lined receivers. Start Williams as a No. 2 broad or flexible option.
Drake London Versus Brown (1 p.m. ET, CBS): Fantasy managers sure love London, averaging 17.1 points in his first three NFL games. I’ll keep him in the starting lineup this week as well, as the Hawks host a Browns defense that has given up four touchdown points and the fifth-largest fantasy points for receivers lined up widely in the first three games. Consider London a second wide or flexible start.
Gabriel Davis On the Ravens (1 p.m. ET, CBS): Davis offers a 6.7-point effort against the Dolphins, but I still love him as a flexible option this week when the Bills visit Baltimore. The defense has given up most fantasy points for its wide receivers in the last eight games, including 14 touchdowns. Davis, who runs 91.7% of his ways on a grand scale, should rebound and produce a fantastic fancy stat streak.
Garrett Wilson At the Steelers (1 p.m. ET, CBS): Wilson has emerged as a big part of the Gates attack in the past two weeks, seeing 24 goals while scoring an impressive 42 points. I’ll start it against the Steelers, which has allowed the fourth place with the most points to open receivers this season. Hopefully the expected return of Zach Wilson doesn’t hurt Garrett’s target share, but at this point, it’s a good start on a grand scale.

Fourth week of sitting: wide receivers
sit week
Allen Robinson 49th Time (Monday 8:15 p.m. ET, ESPN): Robinson was hard to trust, scoring less than an imaginary five points in two of his first three games. He’s also seen fewer than five goals in all of those competitions, as Matthew Stafford continues to target Cooper Cope and Tyler Higby more often. The 49ers have given up the second-lowest number of points for wide receivers, so Robinson is fading away.
sat down
DJ More Opposite the Cardinals (4:05 PM ET, Fox): Moore put on the ultimate stink bomb last week, scoring just 2.5 fantasy points. He’s now had three or fewer assists in three straight games, which has some people worried about his relationship with Baker Mayfield. Moreover, the remnants of Hurricane Ian could cause potential weather chaos in Carolina this weekend. Moore is a flexible and risky option.
Adam Thelin In Saints (London, 9:30 a.m. ET, NFL Network): Thielen had the best fantasy performance last week, scoring a touchdown and 18.1 points in a win over the Lions. He’ll face a tougher defense this week, with the Saints allowing the fewest fantasy points for receivers spread in the last eight games. Keep in mind that Thielen is a resilient, risky writer at best this weekend.
Devante Parker At the Packers (4:25 p.m. ET, CBS): Parker came out last week, scoring 20.6 Fantasy points in a loss to the Ravens. However, their defense was among the worst against enemies, and Jacoby Myers was inactive. Even if Parker remains the top choice this week, he will get passes from reserve Brian Hoyer and face a much stronger defense than the Packers at Lambeau Field.
Robert Woods At the Colts (1 p.m. ET, Fox): I was wrong about Woods last week, producing 85 yards and 12.5 fantasy points against the Raiders. That may be his cap this week, as the Titans face a defense from the Colts that has only allowed two touchdowns and the seventh-lowest number of fantasy points to oppose wide receivers this season. Don’t chase the points and keep Woods on the sidelines this week.
