Cyberpunk 2077 has reached 20 million sales milestone after its recent resurgence

CD Projekt announced Wednesday that Cyberpunk 2077 has cleared 20 million sales.

That number is higher than the 18 million sales the company reported in April.

The game’s latest sales have been reached after the re-emergence of the open-world RPG, which has had a bumpy life cycle.

Cyberpunk 2077 has been ranked as one of the biggest titles of the last generation of consoles, with the highly anticipated game selling eight million copies via pre-orders alone, according to CD Projekt.

That total rose to 13 million during the game’s launch month in December 2020.

However, despite the huge sales numbers, the game was in serious trouble upon release.

After three delays, Cyberpunk 2077 arrived for PC and consoles with a host of technical issues, resulting in refunds and the game being pulled from the PlayStation Store.
