Aaron Boone Yankees Says Opening Roof at Minute Maid Park ‘Killed Us’

The Yankees She fell into a two-game gap in the ALCS with a 3-2 loss to the Astros on Thursday night. New York once again struggled to put the ball into play, scoring 13 times, failing to capitalize on the center-scoring contestants, going 1-4 in such scenarios.

However, manager Aaron Boone appears to have added another excuse for losing Game 2 during his post-game press conference: the open roof at Minute Maid Park in Houston.

Boone specifically referred to a deep fly ball that Aaron Judge hit at the top of the eighth inning. With a man on, the Yankees smash the ball into the right court, but Astros player Kyle Tucker manages to grab the wall.

Boone explained after the match that he thought the wind – a product of the open roof – kept Judge’s flying ball in the lawn.
