Do you feel it? Fresh breeze in the air? Can you smell the sharp scent of pine cones and evergreen trees? It’s (almost) the holiday season, so it’s hop de do! In our view, it’s never too early to start watching festive movies and racy specials—there are plenty of classics and new holiday movies to roll into the month of December alone. Our suggestion: start in November. Currently. cracked.
If you thought there weren’t any new classics heading into the Christmas movie this year, you’re wrong. There is a lot on the way!
Christmas carol It will be restarted about 87 times this year, making it Pinocchio From this year’s Christmas season – both seem to be rebooted over and over again in our Lord 2022. Same, only three: Will Ferrell and Ryan Reynolds will be coming around to the classics with Apple TV+ Lusty; Netflix will release an animated version; And terribly funny (or horribly funny?) Christmas Karen Our screens will be adorned with a blessed chorus of “Can I speak to your manager?”
There’s a whole wave (no pun intended) of reboots coming in, like a new take on Tim Allen Santa Clause (or now, Conditions), plus an update on Little Ralphie in Christmas story Christmas. We’ll see Dolly Parton save Christmas again this year. Oh, and don’t forget: Lindsay Lohan’s adorable comeback will be streaming on Netflix this holiday season. Falling for Christmas (November 10, Netflix)
And you thought Santa Claus was the big star of the season – ha! On the verge of fulfilling the true holiday wishes of those around the world with the much-anticipated return of Lindsay Lohan. Lohan plays a spoiled hotel heiress, whose head-turner in a ski accident results in little amnesia and a whole lot of fun and joy once she’s rescued by a cute bar owner, played by Chord Overstreet. A tale as old as time, or as old as 1987 Exaggerate (This time, with a little tinsel).
spirit (November 11, in theaters, November 18, Apple TV+)
Love ’em or hate ’em, Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell have teamed up to make a musical show based on Christmas carol. Ryan Reynolds plays Ebeneezer Scrooge. Will Ferrell plays Buddy the Elf-er, Ghost of Christmas Past. With these two factors of chaos, surely, there will be abundant clamor. (Seriously, though, can we have it sprite 2 previously?)
Santa items (November 16, Disney+)
Tim Allen is no longer as Buzz in Light year earlier this year, but he’ll be back to rerun his classic Christmas movie Santa Clause—Now a sequel series, now titled Santa Clause. There are many Santas now? Or several paragraphs? Who knows! The basic premise is that Santa Claus (aka Scott Calvin, played by Allen) must find a replacement for him. Honestly, just hire Harry Styles and his name a day.
Christmas A Christmas Story (November 17, HBO Max)
Put this under “Sequences Likely to Distort a Classical Legacy.” We are wary of this continuing Christmas storyAmong the most beloved holiday movies of all time. Peter Billingsley will return as Ralphie, who returns to his old home to give his kids an unforgettable Christmas while reconnecting with their old friends and dealing with his father’s death. Hopefully the emotional weight will keep this critical grab from faltering, but time will tell if this is a story of its own or a footnote to the story of its predecessor.
Christmas with you (November 17, Netflix)
Who’s sexier than Freddy Prinze Jr. – just in general? Freddy Prinze Jr., as a single father and local music teacher! His character talks upon a romantic opportunity with pop star Angelina (Amy Garcia), whose career is faltering because she can’t connect with her fans (or maybe because her stage name is bad, who knows!). Think Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson marry mebut at Christmas and on a much smaller budget – aka showtime.
Great British Bakery Show (November 18, Netflix)
This may be last year’s trailer The Great British Baking Fair Holidays, but did you know? Same tent, same rules, same holiday spirit. GBBS It’s been a bit of a disaster this year (to say the least), however, and we’re still looking forward to taking notes on all the festively delicious baked goods featured on this year’s show. If you want your Christmas cookies to be the best at family gatherings, listen in for some ideas.
Christmas Karen (November 18, in VOD)
We wouldn’t do our holiday list justice without mentioning this year’s big star: Christmas Karen. The cheesy movie will follow the same basic premise as Christmas carol, but instead of Scrooge, the story will focus on Karen. She hates joy and always calls the manager and loves to spoil kids’ days… You get the gist. Yes, this movie is less attractive than the rest, and you will have to pay to watch it on VOD. But if you watch plenty of spiced wine and good company, you will have an unforgettable night.
Noel’s Diary (November 24, Netflix)
Justin Hartley, the beloved star this is usHe stars in his own Christmas story. And break the tissue, because it can be as sad as his NBC drama! He’ll play a best-selling novelist who returns home to settle his mother’s estranged estate and, in the process of sorting out her papers, finds some groundbreaking information about her. He also found a mysterious woman in the process – could this be a romance story or a holiday tragedy?
HOLIDAY HARMONY (November 24, HBO Max)
Brooke Shields stars in this Christmas romantic drama – that should be enough to sell you harmony holiday lonliness. The film follows a rising singer who gets the chance of a lifetime at Christmas; Unfortunately, she cannot reach her destination on time. Produced by Lauren Swickard, the beloved star of Netflix Christmas in CaliforniaAnd the Holiday harmony It is for any of the romantics in the crowd. It debuts on Thanksgiving, making it the perfect background movie while mashing potatoes and stuffing turkey.
Christmas Secret (November 24, HBO Max)
Another Thanksgiving Edition! Christmas puzzle It is for people who want something less romantic and more festive and wintery to enjoy this festive season. A small West Coast town has spent the last century in good cheer, thanks to a ribbon of magical Santa bells. But the bells are disappearing at Christmas this year. A group of kids sets out on a mission to find them and save the city before the big day.
GALAXY HOLIDAY SPECIAL . GUARDS (November 25, Disney+)
After you see it is sure to be legendary Black Panther: Wakanda Forever In theaters this November, follow it up with another MCU song at home on Disney+. Out of this world from Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy Hollywood cast this Christmas, a gift for Peter Quill (Chris Pratt), who misses his home. But this is not enough. The team decides to steal Kevin Bacon for their leader, the best Christmas present ever.
santa camp (November, HBO Max)
Tie yourself tight in that sled, because this sled will take you for a spin. Santa Camp It is a documentary that follows a group of professional Santas, Mrs. Claus, and elves who gather at Santa Camp to learn the tricks of their trade. This year, organizers are addressing a historic problem among the Santa community: a marked lack of diversity. After all, the only real qualification for a Santa Sheep is how much fun there is in one’s soul.
hollywood birthday (December 1, HBO Max)
Along with Lauren Swicard, her IRL Christmas in California Husband Josh Swicard will also be moving to HBO Max with his racy flicks this holiday season. He will collaborate with Messi Bale to participate Christmas in Hollywood, which follows an up-and-coming filmmaker trying to make a name in the business world. But as the ruthless studio executive enters her life, the young creator realizes she’s actually in a romantic movie of her own. kingHer life follows all the typical metaphors. A Christmas Meta movie? Count us in.

Weird thingsDavid Harbor is a drunken and violent Santa who defends a family of thieves? No need to say more. Give us violence, give us holiday cheer, give us David Harbor like a sexy Santa!
SCROOGE: A Christmas Carol (December 2, Netflix)
No disrespect for Charles Dickens, but this is just an animated musical version of Christmas carol. There are a few big names in the voice cast, such as Luke Evans and Olivia Colman. Other than that, this movie is designed to drop your kids in front of the TV to watch, thus distracting them while wrapping gifts.
Matt Rogers: Have you heard about Christmas? (December 2, Showtime)
Las Calturistas co-host Celebrity Danger! Almost champion successor Mariah Carey. Come December, these are all recipes that can be applied to everyone’s favorite mega kid, Matt Rogers. Rogers’ Holiday Comedy Special will premiere on Showtime and feature guests galore, including Las Calturistas Co-host Bowen Yang. If this special is half as fun, hilarious and brazenly gay as Rogers’ role last summer I love it for you (Also, imaginatively, on Showtime), we’re all on vacation.
Something from Tiffany (December 9, Amazon Prime Video)
Zoe Deutch lends her charm and glamor to this adaptation of Melissa Hill’s novel. A young woman’s life (Dutch) is turned upside down when a friend’s engagement ring rocks their long-term relationship. If you can take anything from Tiffany while also living in New York City during the holidays, you’re living a very charming life, and you can make it through any character game.
It’s a great party (December 9, Hulu)
You may be familiar with gluttonyComedy in which alcohol and drugs are strictly prohibited, except for one day a year. But what you may not know is that there is a Christmas-themed sequel coming out this year. This time around, “The Binge” falls on Christmas, which means that all drug, drinking, and partying will come at the most festive time of the year. Go crazy with this mulled wine, folks!
Magical Mountain Christmas Dolly Parton (December, NBC)
This special holiday will follow the behind-the-scenes events of Dolly Parton’s stunning holiday, as Parton attempts to lift the spirits of a beleaguered world. Whether or not she shares any plot devices with Parton’s 1986 Holiday Show, Christmas on Smoky Mountain, has not yet been determined. But if that’s the case, we can consider this a huge win. Nobody cheers Christmas like Dolly.
