There were more to the rumors than meets the eye — Transformers: Rise cutscenes leaked online!

There’s been a rumor going on for the better part of the year that game developer Certain Affinity is making a new game in the Transformers universe. Although there is no official announcement, reports have claimed that the title will be Transformers: Rise and will be mostly a third-person shooter. While the jury is still out on whether this rumored title will ever become true, a recent leak could at least confirm its existence.

Youtube DpzLuna uploaded video On their channel featuring what they claim are two scenes from the movie Transformers: Rise. These scenes are fully voiced, but are mostly still images with narration records talking about them. It is not known if these images are conceptual art standing out from the unfinished scenes or the style that the game will use.

The two viewers also give a small glimpse into the story. Optimus Prime provides an audio log detailing an ancient enemy using nanotechnology to infect other technologies with a smart virus.

Fans seem to react positively to what they saw in the video. There hasn’t been an AAA Transformers game in a while, and many fans have given up hope that this game is more than just a rumor. Some have speculated that it has been quietly canceled as well, seeing how it’s been over a year since the initial rumors without any confirmation from Certain Affinity.

DpzLuna mentions in the video that these scenes were likely recorded last year, which means the game may not have been cancelled. One thing is for sure, however, with Paramount’s launch of Transformers: Rise of the Monsters A movie sometime next year, it will be a worthwhile investment to cash in on the hype with a new game.
