Where to get Somber Smithing Stone 6 in Elden Ring – Best farming spots!

With many powerful bosses to fight and dungeons to explore, Elden Ring is the best for enjoying a range of well-upgraded equipment. But with so many types of upgrade materials required for an extensive list of weapons, it can be hard to find just the right components to increase your damage. This is especially true of Somber Smithing Stones 6, which you will need to upgrade some of the most powerful weapons in the game.

For planting these Somber Smithing Stones, your best option is to find a 3 bell bearing from Somberstone Miner’s. This will allow you to purchase 5 and 6 Semper Smithing stones directly from the Twin Maiden Husks in the Roundtable Hold, which means you can effectively grow them by planting the runes, which is an easier mush task.

To find the Somberstone Miner’s Bell that holds 3, you’ll need to get to the top of Mount Giants. This can be a daunting task if you’re still early in the game, but once you’re there, Bell Bearing is easy to find by heading to Marica’s First Church in the location shown above.

Once you get there, you can find the bell on the corpse of a noble outside the chapel’s front door.

Early Summer Smithing Stone 6 locations

If you haven’t made it to the top of Giants Mountain yet, but still need Somber Smithing Stone 6, you still have a few options to pick them directly. Below are two of the easiest options to get in the first half of the game.

Magnus Monster Claw

This option is fairly straight forward, and has the advantage of hooking you up with two stones instead of one. The only trade-off is that it will also require a bit of fighting. First, head to the Writheblood Ruins on the Altus Plateau.

Once you reach the ruins, look for a red summon sign in a small building next to the main building. Be careful, because this building (and the area around it) is full of dogs that do bleeding damage. Activating this summon mark will start a Magnus the Beast Claw fight, which will throw both stones when defeated.

Mount Gilmer

For an option that doesn’t require a fight, head to Mount Gilmer on the border of the Altus Plateau. From the first camp site at Mount Gilmer, head southeast past the stone coffins.

On the cliffside here is a corpse sitting on a chair where you’ll find Somber Smithing Stone 6. Be careful, though, as his loyal wolf companion may not take kindly to stealing his precious stone.
