Netflix has shared a new trailer for its upcoming season Sonic Prime animated series, set to premiere on the streaming service on December 15th. And the show relies heavily on classic Sonic aesthetics rather than a continuation of it loud voice pattern. The trailer features energetic 3D animation, with Blue Blur racing through different worlds in very smooth motion.
The opening scenes of the trailer show Sonic trying to stop Dr. Eggman from grabbing the Rainbow Crystal, presumably Prime Minister A copy of Chaos Crystal. Sonic is joined by his friends Tails, Knuckles, Amy Rose, and Rogue the Bat. Eggman crushes the crystals, sending Sonic to different worlds that feature his friends and enemies. The first view of the new planet was a futuristic world ruled by Eggman, who had apparently succeeded in his attempts to conquer the world and turned everything into a dark, futuristic dystopia in his visuals. Sonic’s friends get a futuristic facelift, all sporting robotic parts, with Tails receiving multiple robotic arms on his back.
In the future world, Eggman has teamed up with different versions of himself to stop Sonic. Other worlds include a watery planet where all of Sonic’s friends are now pirates. Another world is the jungle planet, where Sonic’s friends dress up as jungle people; He is similar to the Echidna clan as seen in the live action My voice Movies. Sonic Prime The trailer also contains multiple scenes that show Sonic doing what he does best, going fast and destroying robots. The trailer ends with a glimpse of Shadow the Hedgehog appearing in the show.
Sonic has had several TV adaptations, going back to 1993 with Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog. Other notable fan favorites include Sonic TV series Sonic Satam, which features Blue Crystal teaming up with the freedom fighters to liberate a planet under Doctor Robotnik’s control. There is also an anime mod called Sonic X and an adaptation of the animated series of Sonic Boom games.
