How to get Orthworm Tarnish in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet!

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are filled with tons of ingredients and materials that you can collect while exploring the Paldea region. Most of the materials you collect will be used to craft a translation memory so that you can teach your Pokemon new moves. Orthworm Tarnish is one of the many materials you can collect in the Paldea region and it comes from the earthworm Pokemon. This guide will show you how to get Orthworm Polish in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Where to find Orthworm in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Orthworm is one of the IX Pokémon that first appeared in Scarlet and Violet. This earthworm-like Pokemon is a hard-type creature that likes to roam the deserts. You may not find the smaller version of this Pokemon at first and you may end up finding Titan Orthworm instead. If so, keep looking and the normal won’t be far behind.

Bonyworms appear frequently in the deserts on both sides of the Paldia region. There is one desert on either side of the map where you can find this Pokemon. The bone worm is sensitive to sound and making too much noise will cause it to run away. If you approach it calmly, that Pokemon will move on and allow you to interact with it. Since this Pokemon is a Solid type, be sure to bring a fighting type with you to challenge it.

The Orthworm will drop the Polish every time you defeat or grab it. When you come across this Pokemon in the wild, make sure you are prepared with a Pokemon that can easily take it down. An Orthworm will drop between one and three Orthworm Polish each time you defeat or capture it. You may use this material to create a translation memory in TM Machines around the Paldea region provided you have unlocked recipes that require the material.
