Wo-Chien is one of the four Legendary Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. It will be available near the end of the game as you unlock different bets while keeping their shrine. Once those specific bets are cleared, you can try your hand at trying to catch the Pokemon and add it to your collection. Here’s what you need to know about where to find Wo-Chien in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
How to catch Wo-Chien in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Before attempting to fight Wo-Chien, you must remove each of the eight purple pegs. They are widespread throughout the Paldea region, primarily in the southern region of the continent. Once you remove each of the eight pegs from the ground, you can interact with and summon Wo-Chien’s shrine, trying to battle and catch that Pokemon.

You can find Wo-Chien Restaurant in the southeast corner of Paldea. West of the Pokémon Center will be the fifth region in the South Province. We recommend saving your game before attempting to fight Wo-Chien. If you defeat it in combat, you’ll need to wait a while before trying to summon it again, but you won’t miss out on catching this Pokemon.
Wo-Chien is a Dark and Grass type Pokemon. It will be weak against Fire, Ice, Fighting, Poison, Flying, Bugs, and Elf moves. It will be resistant to attacks of water, electricity, grass, earth, ghost and darkness. When trying to catch Wo-Chien, we recommend focusing on attacks that won’t do much damage to her and avoid using any Bug-type moves to damage her. You also want to make sure you routinely use Ultra Balls to try to catch them, but more specific balls such as Timer Balls and Dusk Balls are a good option.
