The best Pokémon Teams for the Fighting Cup: Great League Edition Remix in Pokémon Go – December 8, 2022!

The Fighting Cup returns to Pokémon Go, but this time it will have a modified version. The remix version prevents players from using every available fighting-type Pokémon that would normally compete in these battles, potentially letting everyone know if they want to try out a new combo. You will need to consider your options before you engage a team for these battles. Here’s what you need to know about the best Pokémon teams for the Fighting Cup: Great League Edition Remix in Pokémon Go.

Best Fighting Trophy: Great League Edition Remix Pokémon Teams

It’s important to note that for the Fighting Grail, any Pokémon you use on your team must be of the Fighting type. They also cannot exceed 1500 CP, none of your Pokémon can be Psychic-type, and you cannot use Hakamo-o, Kommo-o, Buzzwole, or Sneasler.

Galarian Farfetch’d, Poliwrath (Shadow), and Falinks

For our first team, we have Galarian Farfetch’d as our main choice. He’ll be a solid option in these encounters, and he’s got a flying-type move to take advantage of whatever combat types you’re fighting against. To back it up, we recommend using the Poliwrath shadow copy and then Falinks as the Closer option.

  • Galarian Farfetch’d: Fury Cutter (fast movement), Leaf Blade, and Brave Bird
  • Poliwrath (Shadow): Mud shot (fast movement), dynamic punch, and ice hole
  • Falinks: Counter (quick movement), Super Power, and Megahorn

Throh, Machamp, and Chesnaught

The next team features Throh as the main Pokemon. Like Galarian Farfetch’d, Throh has a unique moveset, and has a psychic move, Headbutt, making her a powerful choice in these encounters. To back it up, we suggest you use Machamp as your switch and Chesnaught as your closest.

  • Throh: Zen Headbutt (Quick Movement), Body Slam, and Focus Blast
  • Matchamp: Counter (fast movement), cross chop, close combat
  • Chesnaught: A vine whip (quick movement), super strength, and an energy ball

Toxicroak, Primeape, and Hitmonchan

Here, we will have Toxicroak as the main Pokemon. It doesn’t have unique attacks that would be very effective against fighting-type Pokemon, but it’s a solid option with a good streak of stats. For support, you may want to have Primeape as the Switch and Hitmonchan as the Closer.

  • Toxicroak: Counter (quick movement), Sludge Bomb, and Mud Bomb
  • Primeape: Counter (Quick Action), Close Combat, and Night Slash
  • Hitmonchan: Counter (quick movement), ice punch, and thunder punch

Hitmonlee, Heracross, and Hariyama

The next team introduces Hitmonlee, a classic fighting-type Pokemon, as your leader. She has a strong combination of offensive and defensive power, which makes her a good starting choice, followed by Heracross and Hariyama. You do want to be careful with Heracross because it’s also a Bug-type, so it might be weak against whatever Fire and Fight type your opponent is using.

  • Hitmonlee: Double kick (quick action), stone edge, and close combat
  • Heracross: Counter (fast movement), close combat, and rock blast
  • Hariyama: Counter (Quick Action), Close Combat, and Heavy Slam

Crawler, Blaziken, and Perlum

Our latest team features the Crabrawler as our leader Pokémon. Although it’s a completely new option, this is one of the few times you can use it against other players. We recommend Blaziken and Breloom to support it, with Breloom being closer to you. Like Heracross, Breloom is also weak to any Fire and Fighting type Pokémon, but this is where the Crabrawler comes into play.

  • Crabrawler: Bubble (fast movement), Power-up Punch, and Crabhammer
  • Blaziken: Counter (quick movement), stone edge, and blaze kick
  • Breloom: Counter (fast movement), dynamic hole, grass knot
