Rocket League gets new DLC starring… the Lofi Beats Girl!?!

Rocket League is no stranger to cross-platform content. This comes with the region once you link to Fortnite under the Epic Games banner. This latest announcement, however, is a bit of an aberration. Yes, that was a car joke.

Leg Rocket Frosty Fest 2022 trailer Debuted during this year’s Game Awards. As with previous festive holiday events, Festival 2022 adds a host of delightful new cosmetics to the game. In this case, it’s the super popular crossover Luffy’s Hip Hop Radio YouTube channel. Anyone tuned in to listen to some songs while studying, relaxing, or maybe even playing Rocket League has seen Lofi Beats Girl, who sits there endlessly staring at her writing, headphones and pet cats chilling on the window sill.

All of these goodies are represented in this cosmetic set. The girl’s picture on the rims, her cat and a cup of hot cocoa serve as the car’s top cover, and the car’s hood bears the word “lofi” in a beautiful cursive font. As you might expect from a crossover like this, Frosty Fest also adds a bunch of lofi tunes that you can bump into while in the game menus. It all kicks off in Rocket League on Wednesday, December 14th, giving drivers plenty of time off to play with their new goodies.

Rocket League is one of the best cross-platform games that allows people to match no matter where they are playing the game. This is great for communication, but not always for kids. As such, Epic Games recently launched Cabined Accounts for Rocket League and some of its other games. Anyone under the age of 13 (or the age of digital consent for their country) will be automatically integrated into one of these kid-friendly accounts when they start the game, keeping them away from potential Internet creeps.
