How to craft TM 161 Trick Room in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet!
The Trick Room is one of many Tech Devices (TMs) that can be accessed via the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet TM crafting system. It’s a powerful disruptive move that lasts five turns, allowing the slower Pokémon to move first during its duration. Entire teams are all about using the Trick Room to set up and shut down opponents, and it’s especially popular in Double Battles. In a meta dominated by fast, attack-oriented teams, the Trick Room is extremely useful for shutting down glass cannons and fast sweepers that lack the size and tools to handle a Trick Room setup. Here’s how to make the TM 161 Trick Room in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Materials used to make the TM 161 Trick Room in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Once the TM 161 Trick Room is unlocked, make your way to your local Pokémon Center and power up the TM Machine. Here are the resources you will need to make this artistic machine:
- 5000 league points
- 3 dust
- 3 part bronzer
- 3 Eyelash Goethita
Hatina dust falls from the Hatina line. Hattana itself can easily be found in the lake biomes located in the Southern District (Districts I, II, and IV) and the Western District (District III). As a pure Psychic type, he is weak to Ghost, Dark, and Bug moves.
Bronzor shards fall from Bronzor and it evolves, Bronzong. Bronzor is the more common of the two, and can be found in ruins across the Eastern Province (District II), Southern Province (Districts II, III, IV, and V), and Western Province (District I and II). They are both of the Solid and Psychic type, and thus are weak to the movements of Fire, Earth, Ghost, and Darkness.
Goethita’s Eyelash is a drop of Goethita’s line. Gothita spawns in the Eastern Province (Third Region) and Gothurita in the Southern Province (Sixth Region). Both are more common than Gothitelle, which is a rarer spawn. Since they are all pure psychic types, they are weak to Dark, Ghost, and Bug moves.
