HoYoverse’s Honkai: Star Rail enters the final closed beta this week with a fun new event and newly updated system requirements. The first closed beta event on the title took place in late 2021 and players are looking forward to diving into the latest Honkai Impact from the talented developers of Genshin Impact.
While HoYoverse hasn’t specifically specified the minimum hard drive space required for the full PC version of Honkai: Star Rail, it notes that a minimum of 15GB of available storage space on your device is necessary to download and run the beta. We will update this guide with the PC version system requirements as soon as they become available. For now, here’s what you’ll need.

While Honkai: Star Rail is visually similar to Genshin Impact’s hack-and-slash HoYoverse, it offers turn-based strategic combat rather than Genshin’s open-world exploration and combat. Both titles were developed using the industry standard Unity engine, so the similarities in graphic and design between the two games may provide hints to identify unrevealed system requirements.

Not surprisingly, Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail both run with a minimum Intel i5 CPU and 8 GB RAM installed. Additionally, Genshin requires Windows 7 SP1 64-bit, Windows 8.1 64-bit, or Windows 10 64-bit with DirectX version 11 installed, making it likely that these requirements will apply to Honkai: Star Rail upon release as well.
