How to ban and unban someone on Discord!

Discord servers are great because they can create a community. You can make a lot of friends in these areas, but unfortunately, there will always be people who take things a little too far and can be wild. In cases where someone is directly going against any rules or is looking to cause a little gratuitous mayhem, you might want to consider blocking them. Here’s how to do that and how to unblock them if they’ve been blocked incorrectly.

To block someone on your Discord server, you must have block privileges. These permissions can be modified by the server owner or anyone with moderation permissions in the Roles section of Server Settings (right click your server icon on the left bar). These roles can be fully assigned, so make sure everyone with that role can be trusted.

To block someone, all you have to do is find their username either in the chat or in the side menu along with everyone’s name on the server. Right-click their name and select “Block” to bring up a new menu asking for information about why they were blocked, and you’ll be able to delete any message they’ve sent in the server for up to the previous week.

If anyone is wrongly banned or appeals to a modder to unblock you, you can unblock anyone by going to server settings and finding bans under moderation section. Click on the username, and a new window will appear explaining why that person was blocked. To allow them to come back again, click on the red “Unblock” button.
