When is the release date of The Day Before?!

The Day Before’s development history has been somewhat fraught, though it has enjoyed a lot of hype surrounding its impending release. An open-world survival MMO set in a post-apocalyptic, zombie-riddled America has been at the top of Steam’s wish list for months or so, but there have been many delays along the way. Here’s the latest news on when The Day Before will finally be released.

Originally, The Day Before was supposed to be released back in June 2022. However, it didn’t happen due to development issues and the release date was March 2023. This time, it was a copyright claim that caused the team behind the game to move. The game launched again. After a day of confusion in which The Day Before was removed from Steam without warning before the copyright issue behind the name became known, the developers at FNTASTIC took to Twitter to clarify. The Day Before will now be released on November 10th.

At the time of writing, The Day Before has not yet appeared on Steam, so its fate remains relatively unknown. Eight months is a long time to delay a game, especially when it should have been almost ready for launch in a few weeks. We suspect that the developers are anticipating a protracted legal battle ahead of them, with a possible rebrand and name change on the table.

Provided the team can settle the copyright strike quickly, the game will pit players against both infected and desperate, starving survivors in a world where supplies like food, ammo, and fuel are scarce. Judging from the released game demo of The Day Before, the game promises a combination of crafting and fighting to survive in a harsh environment, but first, the developers need to survive the toughest environment imaginable: US copyright law.
