Cuff is a sarcastic and dry ally, who will guide Fry as she walks down the rabbit hole into a world of magic and ruin. Cuff, or Vambrace as Frey is constantly reminded at every turn, is brought to life by a veteran actor named Jonathan Cake.
The English actor and director has appeared in many roles since the early 1990s. His most notable role was in the 1995 movie The first knight. He has appeared in multiple TV shows such as Desperate HousewivesAnd Law & Order: Special Victims Unit And the final blow Star Girl. He’s also no stranger to gaming, having voiced Darth Thanaton in the MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic.
His role in Forspoken as Frey’s right-hand man is excellent, as his performances alongside Frey’s voice actress, Ella Balinska, make for a wonderful marriage of styles and attitudes. Frey calls him Cuff, a name he feels is inappropriate for his status, so he constantly reminds her that he’d rather be called Vambrace.
